NEW BEGINNINGS

Hi folks my husband and I are considering retiring to the Loz Alcazar area early next year.  It might seem strange but we have never been! We have a dog and are looking for an area where we can walk to beach prom shops etc. I would also like an english speaking church.  Any advice would be much appreciated. We are hoping to come and search in September. Many thanks.

I would suggest renting & living in the area for a few months before making such a big decision.  There are plenty of towns outside of Los Alcazares which are worth looking at i.e. Lo Pagan.           Pilar de la Horadada etcetc

Good luck.

Don't worry, we visited Los Alcazares for a weekend in January never having visited the Spanish coast before and went home with a house!

Not literally of course but completed on the purchase 6 weeks later.

Don't regret it one bit, it's a lovely town if you are looking for something not too touristy but with good amenities.

We brought in the El Carmoli area where you get a lot of house for the money.

Let me know if you want any more details.

Andy

Hi. Is El Carmoli actually in Los Alcazares or is it nearby.  We are hoping to buy somewhere in LA but not to live there, just holiday but we don't want to have to hire a car at all.  We would like to be within walking distance of the beach.  Any suggestions of where to look (we're hoping to come out shortly) and any suggestions of where to avoid would also be helpful.

El Carmoli is approximately 5 mile outside Los Alcazares.  I would say 15-20 euros for a taxi, one way.

El Carmoli is no good if you have no car.Stick to Los Alcazares or somewhere with a bus service.

Thanks very much. Will stick with LA where we won't need a car.
