You will only be able to stay 90 days out of 183 

If you want a permanent move you need to research non lucrative visa with the Spanish embassy in the UK. Its not cheap you need a certain amount in your bank account ( think its 26,000 plus 7000 for family members ) as well a private health care which isn't cheap. You have a criminal record check and you will need to take a spanish driving test. Its a lot harder to get Spanish residencia as uk are now a 3rd world country.

We moved over last year and got residencia before the deadline and we are covered by the withdrawal agreement so our state pensions when due will still get the increases as those in uk. But now those wanting to live here now will have their pensions frozen with no increase.

We did the same - bought a place to use for holidays with a view to moving out when I retire at the end of the year.

Despite the rule changes, it is still very achievable if you want to make it happen; there are people on here who have actually made the move in the last few months. Sure, there are more hurdles, but if you want it, go for it.

As a holiday home, the 90 day rule shouldn't be too much of a burden, and by the time you are ready to move out who knows what the rules will be regarding driving.

Don't be put off by negative comments!

Is the frozen pension a fact. I knew it was a possibility but didn't realise the Government  had made that decision.

I've checked in several places, but the Gov.Uk site seems to say pensions will get uearly increases after 2020.
