I take it you are not looking to come over from UK.

You may have left it too late with Brexit on its way. If you arrive next year you probably won't have enough time to get your spanish residency which would mean you would have to have a holiday home and return to UK for 6 months of the year. Its all a bit up in the air at the moment, you need to get a spanish lawyer.  They are saying here you have to be resident for 2 years before Brexit to qualify, but as nothing like Brexit has ever happened before I don't think they really know. Good luck.

We were considering the same area, but it is known for flooding so you should look into this is, as when we did we were quite shocked to the sight of cars being washed away in video footage, also causing extensive damage to properties. It's not something the estate agents openly offered to talk about, but as my husband had the footage to hand whilst we were in the agency they had to discuss it. She explained how awful it was coping with her house flooding whilst dealing with homes they manage for people.

As Brexit is causing concern I believe through research if you spend over 500K Euros you automatically get residency. However, I realise most people don't necessarily want to spend that much. Otherwise, we are looking at only being officially able to stay for 3 months of the year, as it is not something that has been properly determined by the powers that be.
