A good friend of mine has an 11 metre sailing yacht which she's keen to bring down from the UK to the Costa Calida for a few months. Does anyone have any contacts with marinas / harbours etc along the coast so that I can get some quotes for mooring fees etc? Thanks in advance.

Hi

I just joined this forum but in reply to your query on marina fees etc.

I keep an 11 metre boat here at Marina de las Salinas for 9 years now. The annual fees are €3,500 incl electricity and water. It is well served safe and accessable. Nearest town is San Pedro turnoff at junction 774.

Not sure if its too late for your friend now but if you neec further info please contact me. Im in Los Alcazares.

The sailing here is quite good. I covered all ports from Barcelona to Malaga including Ibiza and Mallorca. I think to get value for the trip down it might be worth considering coming down one season and heading back the next season  just a thought

Regards

Gerry

Be cautious if you just look on the different club websites, as they may list prices but not availability. I would like to buy a powerboat of 7.4metres x 2.54 and my nearest marina only has berths of up to 7m x 2.5.....with no flexibility about the extra few inches! Most seem to have moorings for overnight visitors but little for longer-term berthing.
