HI,

We live in the UK but are looking for a long term rental.We registered our details with a few of the local agents while visiting the area in October but to date have not received any communication from any of them.Is this normal?I was wondering if it was because of the time of year or maybe because there are not many rental properties available .

I saw on this Forum that Rainbow Property Services were good but despite e mailing,messaging and calling,I have not had one response from tnis company.They are currently advertising 3 properties that we would like to view and could arrange flights if someone would return our communication.

Are there any other agents that anyone is aware of with long term rentals available?

if you are on fb there is a site called murcia rentals.  indivuduals and agents advertise and pick up requests from this site.  daniel ross with dream soanush holidays in los Alcazares is good he helped us.  lots of rentals about at moment.

We had the same issues earlier this year, 16 emails sent 4 replies 2 in Spanish, which we don’t speak unfortunately, 1 who couldn’t offer anything and finally Brian at Golfsun Properties who found us where we are now staying for the winter in Torre de la Horadada, which is a lovely area about 20 minutes north of Los Alcazares. Brian is one of the most genuine, helpful people I have come across who really does care about his clients.

 rentalia  and try idealista  I came over in June this year and started sept  renting for eight months from a holiday let then asked if we could rent for twelve months  which was agreed  this is in the old town   most estate agents  only want to sell  same problem with rainbow no answer

I eventually got reply from Mayte at rainbow and rented for 3 months this within 2 days so they are helpful when you get a reply. I also tried idealista but no reply. Maybe it's that mañana effect

Hi - the difficulty you have with trying to get a long term rental is the law in spain favours the tenant.  There have been many many horror stories about people who have signed a contract and just stopped paying rent after a few monhts and it has taken months and months of aggrivation to get them out. Many people have just stopped renting them out for long term. 

If younare serious then i would hihgly recolmmend you speak with Sharon at RodaFM - they operate a very succesful and highly regarded managment company looking after many properties on Roda Golf and Senior De Roda. 

If you would like to try and extended summer holiday for 3 months then get in touch
