After chasing my doctor's practice for two weeks over completing the Medical Certificate, I've now been told that 'the Practice is going to have a meeting to discuss whether this is something they can issue, as they have not been asked for it before'

The 'meeting' is scheduled for next week....Makes me feel anxious now that they may simply refuse to comply.

I think I have read on here of someone else who was in the same situation, but don't recall what the outcome was, so I'm unsure of what to do next...

The person who had a similar problem was 'Little Gran' I believe, so you could ask her...

Doctors don't have to provide this service and, I guess, if they have never completed one, then they may decide they don't want to.

You have the right to access all your medical records, so you could try contact other doctors, travel clinics, private doctors and ask if they would do this, if you provided copies of your records.

Hope this helps!

A bit of a breakthrough on the Medical letter front.

Little Gran kindly put us in touch with the doctor she used. I contacted him yesterday, had a response (and medical questionnaire) off him today and will have a consultation tomorrow. Bish Bash Bosh.

Pay him his fee and he will issue the Medical Certificate in Spanish.

Feeling very relieved now......

Last hurdles are getting the ACRO forms back from the FCO and getting all the financial statements stamped and presumably translated??

Our appointment is set for 2 November, so hopefully everything should be back by then....

Would you please be king enough to put me in touch with “Little Gran” or please let me know where you obtained the medical certificate. Kind Regards,
