It is a requirement of your Habitation Licence that your accommodation has Spanish Tv supplied by a Ariel connection.

A couple of years ago by Royal Decree all broadcasts made originally in English should be broadcast on the Spanish network in English. A Spaniard has to switch it to dubbed Spanish for his native language. English programs like Divinity, Blaze, Disney, Parmount to name a few are all now broadcast in English.

The Spanish goverment copied Portugal, who opted to this system 10 years ago or more, and as a result Portuguese became a lot more fluent in this second tongue.

Spain wanted the same to happen here as a recent survey nationwide in the El Pias newspaper showed that 80%+ of a cross section of the population their top priority was to learn English.

You are not too far south to have a 1.4 satellite dish installed to receive all UK Freesat channels including some in HD.

Or, using a suitable Android Box watch IPTV with a 10mbps internet connection, or more, and watch all UK, Sky and world. tv.

Choice is yours.
