Many homes in Spain have very small electrical supplies, and these can't run UK-style electric showers.
Most people use electric cylinders (that slowly heat up a store of water, and hence need less power), or gas water heaters that heat the water instantaneously on demand (using bottled or piped gas).

UK shower heater units start from 7.5kw, well above a lot of houses total supply in Spain. You could get in, turn it on, then pop all the house electric trips...

Best way and the cheapest is to have a Gas water heater with battery operated ignition system constant supply of hot water and only use the gas when needed. I have an Ariston which was purchased in Leroy Merlin. You can have the internal or external model.
Gas has recently increased in price and a Repsol 12,5 bottle will cost you 17.75 I also do all cooking on a double oven gas cooker and a bottle normally lasts between 45 and 50 days

Hola talking as a retired plumber/gas inspector why do you want an electric shower if your house could take the current needed
they tend to be slow (water) flow rates take a look at your present water hot-water if you have a good cold water flow rate
a shower/ mixer tap works brilliant over here big bonus any plumber can install one no need for gas (just think running costs installation and the maintenance cost ) solar heating even works in Spain (wonder why) that is free after being installed
ask around Los Alcázares for a plumber maybe the post room can offer you the contact details of a plumber

Legally you should have a qualified gas engineer install the boiler obviously of it is located on an outside wall iy would be less expensive as the only entrance hole to the property would be to connect to your existing hot water supply.
The connection is quite simple and would need a copper pipe with an on off valve and any joins must be soldered then it would be connected to a regulator on the gas bottle.
You would then have to contact a butanol supplier I have always used Repsol they would inspect the installation and issues a contract which obviously comes with a charge but would then make you legal and your insurance company would have no get out if any accident happened because of the boiler.
I have an Ariston which I purchase 5 years ago from Leroy merlin they have similar ones at the moment asking 319.00 euro but on eBay they have the same one from Mediamakt at 149,00 euro? put that link below if you are interested.
