Hola,
We are searching for an apartment of the Costa Calida along the Mar de Menor coast. We have a number of visits booked already encompassing La Union, Los Belones, Mar de Cristal, Los Urrutias and Los Alcazares.
Do any expat residents of these areas have advice whether positive or negative regarding these town/villages?
We would be very grateful for your views.

Hi we have an apartment in Mar de Cristal, and love the area. Depending on what your looking for but la Union is a more in land. We were shown apartment's there but didn't get out of the car.
Los Belones is a short walk from us probably 15 mins again a bit more in land. But have a lot of shops and restaurants.
Don't know what they are going to show you but when we were over last June they had started building again which is a good sign. There are still a lot of re sales about but if it's a company they will probably only show you new builds.

At the moment our plans are to purchase for regular holidays...just us, our family and friends. Really looking forward to next wee. We've got a number of visits lined up. Any views on really good estate agents down there.

I only know of Murcia Villa's which are in Los Belones but haven't used them, just keep receiving emails with property details.
If your looking for a new build there's normally a show house you can look at.
I'd suggest you look on your own, no pressure then.

Thanks very much. I'm sure we'll get a pretty good feel for values and standards once we get stuck in!

We ha e just bought in Mar de Cristal having been up and down the coast looking. We fell in love with the area and the town of Los Belones.
We meet a few agents but one in particular stands out, Nicky from White Coast in Sucina has lots of knowledge of the Mar Menor. We actually bought from a private seller in the end but found the area thanks to her.
