Hi

My name is Billie and I am looking to rent a property from December 2020 to the beginning of April 2021 (90 days from New Year's day) I have quite a long wish list!!!! Firstly I would like to rent 2 properties one for myself and one for my mother and we would like them close to each other.   We will both need at least 2 bedrooms each.  I am a very light sleeper so my preference is for a townhouse or duplex or top floor apartment.   I am a keep fit fanatic so I would like a property on some kind of resort maybe a golf resort so that I can use the gym and swim on a daily basis.   We like the Los Alcazares area but are open to other areas..  We very much would like a train line nearby.   We also love the cities of Cartagena/Murcia and we will be visiting Valencia and Barcelona.   I love places that have weekly markets to enjoy the beautiful fresh Spanish food... I also love marinas and shopping centres.. We would like to be fairly close to some bars to enjoy an evening stroll to.   We are very active and may buy bikes out there to explore which we would happily leave behind.   We own our homes in the UK  and my husband is a global contract worker whilst I am semi retired.  We are happy to supply a deposit and can zoom for an interview gladly.  In the past we had wanted to rent for a longer term however since brexit this won't be possible.  We are amenable to many options and areas although cost is a relatively important consideration..

This apartment is on the exclusive El Valle Golf Resort which has a gym, a number of communal swimming pools, bars, restaurants, cycle tracks, tennis court, paddel court etc. It is easy access to Murcia city centre with its wide range of retail and commercial parks and 15 minutes to the beaches on Lo Pagan and Los Alcazares.

The apartment is brand newly furnished and no one has yet stayed in it since it has been completely refurbished so everything is brand new from new beds, sofa, appliances, soft furnishings, plates, utensils, etc...  

The Golf Resort has a number of clubs and societies which you can join - running clubs / cycling clubs / keep fit clubs etc.

There are plenty of cycling / walking and hiking routes close to the apartment which gives you plenty of options to keep fit and active. Alternatively if you wish to relax and pamper yourself there is a fully functional massage and beauty shop within the Resort.

The train stations are 10 minutes away at Succina or Balsicas - both of which give easy access by train to Cartegna / Murcia / Madrid / Valencia.

The local markets are in Roldan / San Javier / Los Alcazares and they can be accessed easily.  

Hopefully this covers some of the criteria that you are looking for in a property.

There are a number of agents (Sunsure Management and Murcia Services) who exclusively rent property on this Resort and I am sure you could also find a second property to rent if you are interested.

My husband and I are looking to rent a place from around 20th of December 2020 to the end of March 2021... We will be back and forth to the UK and its likely we will head over to Italy and Switzerland  so the location of the Mar Menor suits us.  

We would like somewhere that has gym facilities and an indoor pool but I'm aware this is not so easy to achieve...

Apologies for the delay in responding.

Thank you for your kind words.

Do you know if you would take a longer lease on the apartment than 3 months ? Preferably we have been looking at anything between 6-12 months for continuity so that there are less people using the apartment which keeps it in the required condition for prospective tenants. Hence we have avoided short term rents.

Well part of the problem is that with Brexit of course there is only a possibility of spending 90 days in Spain at a time... 

My husband is a contract worker so that he works for 3-5 months at a time and then takes 3 months off... In the past I would book an place in Spain around 4/6 weeks before my husband completes his contract and wait for him.  

However unfortunately we have just found out today that my husbands company has requested that if required can contractors please stay on to work to ease covid complications.  

As such unfortunately all plans may well change and we just don't know what is happening.  

I'm very sorry but the chances are everything is about to change... Can I take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to respond to me and also to wish you very well and to have a wonderful Xmas and New year
