Hi wanting to stay in Mar Menor area and wonder  which area might be more suitable  for retired couple.Would like to do little walking, cycling and mixing with established groups and also site seeing eg Murcia  etc  sometimes by bus and other times with hired car.So far think that San Pedro or Los Alazaras might be the most suitable.

Is it likely in both areas to have enough shops etc open as think it is perhaps quiet in jan /Feb

Thanks Jan

Lo Pagán is another lovely place for a retired couple. It has buses( GLOBALIA) that go to Cartagena, surroundings and Alicante. OR LAT BUS that goes to Murcia. Nice clean and comfortable buses that facilitates just roaming in the area. Hubby and I own no vehicle so somedays we walk  to the bus station and ride around or a combo of buses and trains for the purpose of sightseeing the area. Biking, walking is pleasantly easy as well in Lo Pagan, Los Alcàceres, Santiago de la Ribera.... Etc. Enjoy! I

Infinite blessings.

Hi Jan,

I have an apartment on Mar Menor Golf Resort, which I am looking to rent out over the winter months.  The link to the apartment on Booking. com is below.  Happy to discuss if this is of interest.

Kind regards, Matthew
