Divorce and new life help

Have enjoyed reading this forum and need advice/help/ reassurance please if you can. Having reached near pension age, I find myself in a pretty scary world but trying to feel positive as Divorce is looming. I want to move to start a new life on my own, I know I need to come and look first to decide which area and look at properties. I think it will have to be new or near new as don’t want the worry. So any help would be appreciated and will I find it difficult to find like minded people to have as friends, help me settle etc. Lot to think about but thank you for any tips, assurance.
