Digital certificate
Had a notification about my Residencia but apparently need digital certificate/signature to open it. I am puzzled. Can anyone explain ?

A "certificado digital" is a method of accessing all your government documents via a device such as a mobile phone, computer or tablet etc. You need to download the certificate to a particular device, on which your "certificado digital" will be stored permanently. Every time you need to get a copy of your Padrón or make an appointment with your doctor or at any government office, your device will recognise your legality and will allow you to do this. Once you have downloaded the actual program, it needs to be authorised by an official body. You can usually do this at your local Ayuntamiento. It's a great help to have one or you can also obtain a "Cl@ve Pin", which is an alternative option for accessing your personal data on government websites. You can store more than one of both of these certificates on the same device, so you could keep those for the whole family in one place. Definitely worth getting. Here are some links:
