Banks in mazarron area

Hi we bank with Sabadell. They have an expansion account where if you put in from memory minimum 750e a month there are no charges. Yes you need nie to open one. Our lawyer done ours for us and it was quick to obtain and open 

Many thanks indeed.  How quickly can you get am nie?  Sorry for asking but haven't visited mazarron before. Lived in spain previously but would you say it's a lovely area. Want to be near a small British ex pat community if possible just for social activities etc. Many thanks in advance. Eve.

Hi quite quickly through a lawyer but more expensive than doing it your self. I believe you need to make an appointment at the police station. Check with banks as heard some just need a passport. I know we also needed to supply NI numbers as well. Good luck.

if you lived in Spain before, do you not already have an NIE number?

Yes but this was 20 years ago so don't know how I would even find it or if it is valid.

My understanding was that an NIE number is for life.

Yes I read that but your residencia isn't unless you have resided in spain 5years and we only stayed 4 yrs.

Nie number is for life 

Like your national  insurance number in the uk
