moving from France to Spain - love to hear some personal experiences

Hello to all who may have moved to Spain from France! The weather here in the Aquitaine region is terrible and we want to be warm again and by the sea. We're coming down for a few months. It would be great to hear from anyone who's already done this and is glad they did! Are taxes the same, etc., etc. Thanks in advance!
