Compusurf are spot on. Pay by the day/week/ etc. Switch on /switch off service. No phone line required. E-mail a couple of days before you go, and it's turned on exact dates you require. We've been using them for a while and have no complaints. One suggestion, go for the highest speed available if you're asked (can't remember now if this is standard).  Good luck.

Agree Compuserf is a good option but there is a €99 set-up fee - http://www.compusurf.es/home/hotspot. Another option I've used is a Mobile mifi device with Sim-only data such as http://www.argos.co.uk/product/4471714. You could also set-up your mobile phone as a hotspot to share data with another wifi device if you have a mobile supplier which includes tariff-free mobile data roaming to Spain (such a 3 Mobile). This would save having to buy a mifi unit.
