Hi everyone...My name is Tony and my wife Lynn and I are considering moving to the area when we have an early retirement in a few years.Just wondered if anyone could answer a couple of questions for us please. What is the climate like especially through the winter months as we are after a mild winter if possible.Open to any area but do like the properties in Camposol but have heard negative things. Also is the crime rate low. Many thanks

Hello.  I'm new to this forum.  My husband and I were in the Mar Menor area just last week.  San Pedro/Lo Pagan. Climate wonderful all year as I understand (close to the airport; but planes do not fly over properties).  Properties still being built there.  Looks over to the Mar Menor La Manga strip.  You can get a small ferry over there.  Plenty of golf courses in the region if that's what you want.  Not a big big town but the area expanding.

Bolnuevo is clearly the best place to stay on Spain's coast. People live most year round and the crime rate is very, very low here. And it's beautiful. Bolnuevo resides in southern hillside to the sea - making this one of the hottest places in the winter and sea breeze makes it cooler in the summer - actually the best climate in all of Spain. The mountain keeps the rain away and there are excellent hiking trails all the way to the top, making it easy for anyone to climb the mountains.  We have lived here for 16 years now & I love it. Here is a mix of all nationalities, but still most Spaniards. Many and good restaurants - all withing walking distance. Buy no other place without having tried Bolnuevo!

Sounds wonderful 😀 We have a couple of years to investigate areas before taking the plunge! To be honest we've not heard of that one but it will certainly be going on our list. Many thanks for taking the time to respond
