Looking for a nice area to move permanently to from uk.

Good luck with your search Kathryn. My partner and I bought last May and haven't looked back since. We ended up buying in Mula, somewhere I had never heard of before! I made a tick list of all the things that were important to us and then went on line searching! Armed with a good list, we then made appointments with estate agents to view all the properties. I have to say we had been to Spain several times before too. The list was really helpful and we found our dream home. It isn't close to the coast but it does have a pool. We are in a rural area so the cost of living is so much more reasonable and we love being amongst Spanish and English because it will help us learn Spanish. We are members of a walking group so we look forward to seeing some stunning views over the next few years. Currently we still live and work here in the UK but spend as much time as we can in Mula because the people, climate and food are wonderful!

Thanks so much for your reply.. i so excited about the thought of moving over to Spain.. i glad to hear you enjoying your property and area.. i  making lists etc, and checking each area out on line first..and will shortlist some areas and properties to view when we come over beg May..

Camposol is definately the best option, it has everything.

We have friends on Camposol. They love it there. For us, we wanted something more Spanish and to be amongst the Spanish community. I know if we lived amongst British people then I would never push myself to learn the language.

Its all about what suits you.

We have lived here permanently since 2002. Yes we like it and having had a good look around at other locations would not go anywhere else.

Yeh i know what you mean..i def want to learn language, i feel its right..

I dont want to be isolated in a little british enclave in sun if you know what i mean..

But i appreciate all the advice there is..

How do you feel the Brexit vote has affected people who have only been there coupke of years? Are 5hey concerned about health care etc?

Well, we havent been there a year yet and we arent worried but then I guess you dont know how you will be affected until something happens... bit like any sort of insurance policy I guess.... you dont know if you are covered until the proverbial hits the fan!

Personally, I dont think British people in Spain will know any difference... its going to take ages before anything concrete happens and I think the tourist trade and people with homes in Spain are too important to the Spanish economy to rock the boat.

We will see, but I wouldnt give up this opportunity. We have never been happier.
