Hi my name is Kathryn, my partner and i are thinking about making a permanent move to costa calida later this year .

I have previously visited Mar Menor area which is lovely, and Mazaron which i loved.

I was just wondering which areas are better for all year residency..we dont want to be isolated in winter.

We want to make friends and learn spanish, we looking forward to an outdoor life, something we dont have at home..

I have fibromyalgia and am hoping weather helps.๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŒž

We would prefer to be in walking distance to a shop but do intend to buy a car.

Would love to be on coast but would be happy to be 10-15 mins inland as being part of a community will be important to us.

Any advice or information would be very welcome.

Hi,

How did your viewing trip go? My family are thinking the same but to rent first just finding the right location?

Any tips?

fran

Hi

Yes we had a good trip.. saw a lot of the mazarron area..

Agent took us to Camposol as well, i was keen because of all the bad press, but i was pleasantly surprised..

It has everything we would need, and not far from coast, and some great beaches.

Its a real community..and some great properties..

So much more for your money ..

After a lot of thought we made an offer on a villa on sector B..

Looking to move over mid october..

Cant wait..๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Tips..keep an open mind..research the area you interested and get a good agent.

Are you thinking of a permanent home or holiday home?

Fran, if you are coming to Spain do it before Brexit otherwise you may not be able to.

Anyone on here know anything about Mazaron Country Club?

It's a lovely place to stay the houses are well priced and spotless but there is only one bar/restaurant and no shops. The council were to build shops and a cinema but run out of money. Shame could have been a smashing place in the country.

Beware of huge structural problems with houses in parts of campasol.

That is typical scaremongering rubbish about Camposol. There were just a few houses which were affected and none of those are being offered for sale. the rest of the 5000 odd houses they built are great. Have lived here for over 16 years now and like 99% of the residents I love it and would not move anywhere else.

We have friends on Camposol. They love it there. For us, we wanted something more Spanish and to be amongst the Spanish community. I know if we lived amongst British people then I would never push myself to learn the language.

Its all about what suits you.

Trish
