hi Mary
we have just finished a rental agreement there.
we had a north facing villa onto the mountains. July Aug Sept and Oct it was bliss as the sun never shine into house therefore making it nice and cool. however Nov Dec and Jan the house never got warm despite heating.
the views of the mountains were spectacular and peace and quite was fantastic. we have 2 dogs so being able to run them on the disused golf course was heaven. the golf course has been closed since 2012 (I think) and looking at the views of the mountains and the giant cacti and plants all that was missing was John Wayne and his horse riding over to serve me breakfast.
there are no shops on site. at the entrance is a petrol station which has a mini super market which u could get mist provisions and fresh bread and milk each day.
there is a community area run by 2 Dutch sisters marijke and jannine who ate fantastic and the heart of mosa. tgere us a very large summer house that houses a bar and few tables and an outside area where the ladies put on various things during summer and winter. if they had not done this then u have nowhere to go.
el valle golf course is a 5 min car drive or a 15 min cycle ride and they have a supermarket and lovely restaurant.
laTorre golf course is 15 min drive away with various restaurants and bars.
the nearest beach is Los alcazares about 25 min drive. Los alcazares is very busy in summer and lots of English ex pats but not in a brits abroad way.
cartegena only 30 mins drive and murcia 20 max both lovely to visit.
if you like peace and quiet and don't mind driving out to places mosa is a great place just make sure you don't have north facing villa.
you get a lot for your money at Murcia and the new airport at corvea is due to open end of this year which will make getting to mosa even easier.
Tina or Murcia sunshine villas is an Estate agents who deals with mosa and she lives on site. so nice friendly and helpful.
there are some extremely huge villas in mosa (never seen a for sale board on these but no life in them either) they are on huge plots too. Tina us a great person to contact.
our reason for not buying there was it's always been our dream to be a 10 min walk to the beach which is what we have now.
do drive down and look around. lots of space and beautiful villas. if the golf course was open I would say the nicest of courses to live on. apparently they are waiting for a buyer but as yet no one has come along but great bargains to be had.
