Hi, I'm new in Mula and I would like to find English friends in this area (Mula, Pliego, Yéchar...). I'm Spanish. I hope it isn't a problem.  :)

*Update: From 2018 I don't live in Mula anymore. Thanks everybody for their messages. I don't want to delete the post complete because now there is some conversation between members of the forum that can be useful for somebody.

Hi Nuria,

As your post is a few months old you may well have the contacts you need by now, but we are just in the process of moving to Mula, although we know the area well, and would welcome the opportunity of learning more Spanish in exchange for English,

Saludos

John & Lyndis

We are English and hope to be buying soon. Would love to make Spanish friends so we can learn to speak your language as it is so beautiful to listen to! Right now I can only ask for coffee and beer! Haha.

Hi Trish

We too have found our place this weekend in Santiago de la ribera.  Which is on the coast.

When do you move to Spain.  Congratulations.

Well, we aren't absolutely sure... we need to go out again later this month to finalise things and initially it will be our holiday home but we hope it won't be long before we can spend lots of time there.

Isn't it exciting?

Trish

So exciting.  Ours is being built but we r going to live permanently from the start.  We r looking to rent their tho as our house here is sold, just waiting on completion and will be homeless.  So sooner rent in Spain to monitor build than in England.

The garden is not big at all and will be a low maintenance Japanese tropical garden.  We have about 3/4 acre garden in .uk which is too much upkeep so pleased to be down sizing the garden.

We will also have a fairly low maintenance garden because a lot of it has been tiled but I hope to find a corner where I can grow a fig tree.

There is a lemon orchard next door... should be good for gin and tonics!

Yours is quite close to San Javier airport isnt it? Very handy. We have an hours drive but hey, thats not as bad as Heathrow! Our local airport is Luton... drives me nuts... all that building work.

Yes close to airport.  About 15 mins.  We live 15 mins drive to the beach in .uk hence the reason for wanting to live on coast in spain.  I have aaked for lemon tree as part of garden.  Couldnt have here.  Did wonder about an olive tree too.  I cant wait for our new start.  Do wonder how tge dog will adapt as they have to be kept on lead but hoping we can go up to campoverde area where she can be let off in the forest.
