Hi, can anyone tell me the locations of places where people go to swim/sunbathe around Mula, Pliego,  Bullas areas?  I know there are municipal outdoor pools that are probably closed, but I am trying to compile a list of places for our next visit. As well as municipal outdoor pools, we're interested in all swimming places, such as rivers, springs etc. Really having trouble finding this on the internet!!  Thanks.

This is quite interesting:

I have been to the Salto del Usero several times but not for swimming! It's a nice place to go for a walk out of season. In the summer it gets very busy. It is to the south of Bullas, there is a barrier across the road so you have to park in the designated car park and walk about a km to get there. So if you have a nice cooling swim, you are sweltering again by the time you get back to your car!! For the last year or two, they have been restricting numbers. Because of Covid-19, I have no idea of the situation now.

Fuente Caputa is to the north of Mula. It's quite a long walk from the car park to where you can swim and the ground is very uneven so not a good idea for anyone who is unsteady on their feet. I've only visited once so I've no idea what it's like for swimming.

The two listed as Moratalla are both out in the sticks but friends have been (years ago) and said it was lovely there.

I believe that people swim in the Embalse de la Cierva next to the RM-15 near Mula but I don't know where they access it.

Although I live close to Cehegin, I have never been to our outdoor pool which is on the eastern edge of the town but I've been told it is very nice. I imagine any "official" pools will have certain restrictions now because of the lurgy.
