Hi, does anyone know what the coverage/signal/reception is like for Lobster mobile in Mula?  We're needing a SIM only deal for data when using laptops.  If anyone has alternative advice to a SIM only, could you let me know please?   Thanks.

I have had Digi mobile for many years now and found good coverage for Europe and the UK

Be careful with Lobster. I was told I could keep the same number for my English phone. A few months down the line when lots of problems had occurred, it transpired that Lobster is not compatible with English phones. I finally discovered that my number had changed, unbeknown to me. You would not believe the trouble that was caused, not least being loss of access to my online bank accounts!! For four weeks!!

Oh, thank you. We're thinking of a separate Spanish phone number but all information is helpful to us.

I cant speak specifically for Mula but I have used Lobster for both work and business for a couple of years now and many of my team at work have Lobster SIM's as well with never a single problem. Their customer service team are also really helpful when setting up etc. They are also offering +50% data deals right now to all customers so well worth a look. Hope this helps.

Besides my Digi number I have a Tesco pay as you go number which I have had for about 10 years just top it up online when I need to but you don't lose your number if in credit. (have not topped mine up since march this year) and still have over £10. credit available as they give you extra when you top up

I used to have a UK and a Spanish number which was costly and I was worried about potential roaming charges after Brexit, but since I signed up to Lobster I just pay 12 Euros for unlimited calls and texts to both Spain and the UK every 4 weeks. If I am away I can park the number and just restart when I want to so for me and most expats here, this is a great mobile option and especially as my Spanish isnt that great and I can speak to someone in English and undesrtand my bill! The oroblem is my wife keeps pinching my phone for the free calls and texts! :-)

Hi David
Your post was really interesting, thank you.
We're coming over next week and we intend to have a Lobster SIM.  Do you use a UK originated phone or do you use a Spanish mobile phone?
Many thanks
Andy

Hi. I was the original poster of the question and am now pleased to say we started with Lobster last month.  We've used two UK based phones, but the critical thing is they need to be unlocked to work on any network/accept any SIM.  We have successfully used both phones and at one point, had 2 SIMS (Lobster and EE) in one dual SIM phone (which most modern phones are). Hope this helps 😀

Hi Barbara

I'm so sorry, we obviously didn't go back far enough.  Thank you so much for replying so promptly.  I think we have unlocked our old UK i-phone which we intend to use with the Lobster SIM, so your information is really helpful.  Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
Regards, Andy
