Travel Test Package - COVID Test on Day 2 & 8 of Entering England

I believe that only refers to countries on the 'Red' list ??

I don't think Spain & the UK are on the 'Red' list.

I could of course be completely wrong.

Thanks for your reply. And yes thats what l thought. But reading it. It says they post test kit to where you are quarantine. So am very confused.

If you're travelling from a country not on the  red list you still have to quarantine for 10 days but at home instead of the hotel quarantine. Everyone entering the UK will do some form of quarantine and compulsory PCR tests. 

So currently Spain to UK would be a PCR test before you leave Spain, then 10 days quarantine in UK at home or wherever you are staying with PCR tests on day 2 and 8. If negative can leave quarantine on day 11. 

If somewhere like South America to UK then as above but quarantine in a hotel instead of 'home at a cost of roughly 1,700 pounds.

Hi, if you are still unsure about the procedure for returning to the uk from Spain then let me clear this up for you. You must take a COVID test no more than 72 hours prior to boarding your ferry or air craft. You also need to make arrangements for further COVID tests on day 2 and day 8 (£210) per person.You will be required to compete an online locator form with a maximum of 48 hours prior to your arrival time in the UK. The time windows involved are strict so beware. We know because we had to go through the same hoops and arrived back in the uk on Sunday 21st of February. Hope this helps

Sorry, you will have to purchase your arrival test pack through the government website and this must be done prior to boarding your ferry or aircraft. It’s an absolute rip off but that’s the price you pay I’m afraid. Good look

Had a negative result for day 2 but isolating for 10 days sucks so you better get ready for it.
