Hello, forgive me whilst I ask a few questions. My wife and I are coming over at the end of jan to look at places as we’re hoping to buy a holiday home/retirement. We love the look of Roda/Sucina/Doleres. Can anyone shed some light on these places and any other places that are close to Los Alcazares. Looking for some nice villages that had a Spanish community and in easy access to Los alcazares. Any recommendations for estate agents would be amazing and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sucina is a lovely village. We have had a holiday home there for 14 years. There is an ex pat community (I would estimate that at least 25% of the village are ex pats or own holiday homes there). The villlage as opposed to a resort is a working village and fairly busy all year round. There are 2 supermarkets, Bakery, Restaurants, Bars, Pharmacy, Doctors, etc. It is an ideal place to retire to in my opinion. The only downside is the lack of public transport, so you definitely need a car (unless you are happy to stay in a village full time)

If you need any more information please ask and if you wish I will PM you.

If you find this helpful please give a thumbs up.

Roda is the nearest to LA but village has a couple of bars a small supermarket and a community centre with bar/ restaurant. Dolores de Pacheco is a few minutes further from LA and bigger with more bars, bank etc  Sucina is about 15/20 minutes drive from LA.

IMO you really need a car in the area as public transport is not very good.
