House insurance

Hi know to avoid house insurance from a bank but are looking at Linear Direct who we seem quite impressed with. Are there any others we should consider?

I know what are you saying regarding the bank's provided house insurance . But.. I left Bankia provided insurance to another provider after several expensive years to get a better deal which I had with the lovely British agent. Last year my house was flooded from above neighbours terrace. Contacted the insurance, suddenly no one could speak English. Got over this, managed to explain what happened, an answer was: we can't do anything and sent me to speak with they legal adviser or something. Called them, no English obviously but the guy who speaks English will call you in the next 15min I've been told. Still waiting... Went to Bankia in February, told them just in case I renewing my existing policy with someone else. They're like: let me try to give you a quote- got house insurance for €115 annual premium from Magpie. All neighbours I know who had robbed unfortunately or some flood damages had no issue with bank insurance, no question asked just done.
