Hi, we use Sabadell and they have had English speakers in all of the branches (4) we have been in.
The website is English (drop down menu) and the app is a doddle.
We get a text each time money is withdrawn or a bill is paid.

We have had a problem also with Bankia they deactivated our account because of the amalgamation . none of our direct debits where paid. Because our main branch is in Guardamar and has been for over 30 years it was then Caja Murcia. Since moving to the Mar Menor 10 yrs ago we just used the local bank in Los Alcazares. The problem is we're still in the U.K. So when we realised what was going on and no bills had been paid. We had to go over to Spain this January to re open the account and it had to be at the branch at Guardamar. We spent 3 hours there and then we had to go to all of our suppliers to give them our new bank details. We spent the best part of three days sorting it out. When we questioned it at the bank they said it's the law you have to re register and of course you need to let your suppliers know.
We are wondering what Santander is like there is a branch in Los Alcazares. Anyone know what they are like.
Thanks
Cajamar in Isla Plana....Mario speaks perfect English .

I read last week that the government is capping all current account charges for all Spanish banks at (if I remember correctly) 3€ per month. I'm with Sabadell and can't fault them. English speaking at my branch next to Mercadonna. Santander Spain is a bank to Santander UK.
Yes CaixaBank bank in san javier. The girl Monica and Alberto speak English and very helpful.

Hi
Like Steve said I would recommend La Caxia many branches and if you push the Manager/Director you will not pay any charges.
Also there internet banking can be accessed in English if necessary
I have been with them for over 12 years and never had any problems.

Whoops...should read 'different bank to Santander UK'.
As a Sabadell user, we were told, but I like many others probably didn't read the communication about the quarterly rise. However problem solved, as they discussed changing accounts with me, I have 700 euros going in every month, changed accounts, therefore no charges.
I have found them more than helpful each and every time!

We use Sabadell. They speak English and are very helpful but be prepared to queue and wait as it is always very busy. I believe Santander in the port is only a cash point (ATM)
