Changing Banks

We are just about to open account with Sabadell... We were under the impression there were no charges... We will now check this... What sort of account do you have with them?

I have a normal current account and they have just increased the annual charge to 120€ (without even notifying me). I use the account online and have D/Debits to pay all bills. BBVA have an online account which is totally free. I used Halifax when they operated here, but those days have gone I'm afraid. You won't get any interest paid either.

We will check about this... We will be in Spain next week to pick up the keys to our new home and it may be that we are changing over too!

Sabadell Expancion account is free but only for residents and needs minimum €700 monthly deposit. Other account is €30 per quarter. Some banks look like there are no charges but they charge for withdrawals, dds etc.....

I don't know about other banks, but BBVA online account is totally free (unless you go overdrawn!). I will be shifting my money from Sabadell next week! I would like to hear from anyone who banks with BBVA, good or bad.
