Hi all - we live in the UK, and have an apartment in Pto de Mazarron (since 2006) that we usually visit 3 or 4 times a year.  Our bank account for bills etc. is with Banco Santander (was Banco Popular until they merged).

I've just found out that they now charge us €12 per month for the account which they never used to do! - can anyone recommend another local bank that we could switch to for our bills etc. that either doesn't charge, or charges less??

Thanks in advance,

As the above post all the info you need there

You don't actually need a Spanish bank account now though.

There are plenty of options available.

I use Transferwise for all my Spanish direct debits now.
