Good morning

I want to take a replacement inkjet cartridge in my hand luggage, and I wondered if anyone has done this without any problems at security. Somehow I always seem to get the 'jobsworth' at airports, so I want to alleviate any problems.

Thank you

There should be no problem if you treat them as any other liquid - in an approved plastic resealable bag, in your cabin baggage and put through the scanners - unless it is over 100ml in which case it must go in your checked-in baggage.

Yes, that's what I will do as I only take cabin luggage anyway. Just wondered if anyone on here has actually taken cartridges through security. From experience interpretation of the rules seem to vary at different airports!

I will only ask?

Are ink jet cartages much cheaper in the UK?

Is it really worth the worry and concern what you can put in your hand luggage?

Suppose they do leak? then your clothe and other items you may be carrying will be ruined, buy them here.

Regards

Ed

Much cheaper in the UK and transporting isn't an issue with me as I only take  a small cabin bag. It would only become expensive if they were confiscated at the airport.

I'll check it out next week at Stansted and let other's know the outcome.

Buy them on the internet and have them posted to you.

Update. Printer cartridge went through security OK. So anyone wanting to do the same and save money by getting them on the internet in the UK shouldn't have any trouble bring them to Spain in hand luggage. That was at Stansted. Hope that helps someone.

Hello

I am buying an apartment in Puerto de mazarron at the beginning of November and would like some friendly advice about anything and everything,, including what I need to do legally and also where to meet friendly expats.
