Hi,
(Hope it's okay to ask this on this forum, if not - apologies)
Erm... If anyone can spare a bit of food, I'd be very grateful. I'm having a daily nightmare - I work what is barely part-part-time and at best, only earn the same as my monthly bills. Still looking for additional work a year later.
I haven't looked at a food bank around here and as it takes a while to get paperwork sorted and accepted, I can see that I've left it too late right now - otherwise I wouldn't be so 'shameless' as to try to scrounge a bit of food here, now.. Wanted to do mini-allotment but a) can't really afford to use so much water, and b) snails devastated my tomato seedlings a couple of weeks ago. I would eat the marigolds the snails barely touched, but they are poisonous... :)
If anyone can spare whatever, I'd be ever so grateful. Physically, I feel pretty much like c**p lightly warmed up by now, every day. I've suffered this situation stoically for a very long time, I don't like importuning people. I'm not cheeky or lazy, btw, and am loathe to do this, I do have some self-respect and sensitivity towards others, but my body is telling me that food is no longer an optional extra after paying bills month-in, month-out.
In case anyone has got whatever to spare, obnoxiously fussy or not as it sounds, I'm a vegan and have been so for several years. Rabbit food would do... :) I'll throw in that I have two cats I adopted from an animal shelter almost four years ago now, who have eaten and eat better than I do, all things considered (the way life is isn't their fault), dry food and a shared packet of wet food, but there won't be much wet food this month.
Life is pay bills, get food for cats, then anything left to buy tiny bit of food for myself, if I'm lucky.
This isn't a sad violins put into words sales pitch, I hope I'm not so crass, I just try to be sincere.
Again, sorry to beg here, but grateful for any grub to get through tough moment.
Also, evidently, as they said in the '30's, and the' 70's, and these days: "Will work for food." And grateful for any such opportunity.
Thanks.
