Hola. We read regularly that property prices in the region are going up. We purchased an appartment near the port in 2015 and from what I read there are more sales, the start of new builds etc. So would imagine the crash bottomed and we are starting to see an increase?

The part of your mail which raises concern us “the start of new build”, this is great for the buyer as there are many incentives, they are cheaper, loans/mortgages, in some instances you can have a say in fixtures etc. The downside is the bottom drops out of the resale market.

We recently (December) bought a property in Alamillo & were told by two different estate agents that Murcia has had one of the quickest increases in sales of all the Costas. Also that house sales were up by 60% compared to a year ago. Whether that’s because prices have remained lower than average, or whether people are buying before prices are deemed their highest, we didn’t find out!
I read recently in Murcia Today that there are due to be 400 properties built between Pto. de Mazarrón & Isla Plana... that’s a vast distance so where are they building? Just curious, that’s all.
