Can anybody help me.i applied for my S1 and have told me it has been issued and sent to my Spanish address.I am applying for residencia but my solicitor now says my S1 has to be in Spanish. Has anyone got their S1 and was it in Spanish as I'm going to Spain next month to start proceedings for residencia .if it's not in Spanish I will have to take out private health insurance. Thank-you would appreciate any help
Just got mine and it’s in English. My solicitor hasn’t said it has to be in Spanish. However it’s mostly applicable for people already receiving a pension. If you aren’t then you have to take insurance anyway as far as I’ve been told. Also you have to have lived in Spain for over three months and produce bank statements proving it. You will also need a Padrón from the town hall. Passport of course + photo. And annual income of €5,488 pp. Hope that’s useful. Good luck!

Thank you. I'm getting my pension and on the padron bank statements etc so I will have to get in touch with my solicitor again .I didn't think it would be in Spanish. Fingers crossed for me want it sorted before Brexit 😆
So do I. I need it as I’ve finally run out of my COPD inhalation capsules. I bought a packet once and it cost €80! So fingers crossed for us both.

I'm looking at getting my residency sorted before the 31st October. I have been advised to use a translator instead of a solicitor as they are cheaper and can help with the Spanish paperwork. The one I'm going to use is in Los Alcazares. Maybe they can turn your S1 into Soanish for you?
