Thankyou Paul one thing I am getting confused about is I'm coming over with my partner we are in our 50s my partner will work but I'm on esa in England as I have a bad spine. Firstly would I still be able to get residency as I'm not working or of pension age. Or would my partners working cover me. Also do you have to have so much savings in the bank to be able to stay. One last thing would I have to get myself private healthcare if I'm not working. I don't think my partner has to has he has a job. Hope that all makes sense I'm getting so confused about it all. Can't wait to get there. Iv never been but looks so beautiful thanks mandy

Hola

You can apply  for residencia without a job, you would need to take out private health care unless your husband is in paid work and his contributions cover you both, that's my understanding. for residencia you need a spanish bank account and to show you pay in regular amounts so you have the means to support yourselves, ,if your parner works here that would show an income.
