Hi All and thanks in advance.

Is it correct that if you sell a property in the UK and then buy a property in Spain within the same year ( or is it finacial year ) you are subject to capitol gains tax.

As a retired person, apart from a pension that i am not bothered about being taxed, is there any other spanish curved ball taxes that may be applied to a pensioner/retiree.

Lastly, do you now need to pass a spanish driving test, if so, how difficult is it to pass this test.

I can cope with all other requirements.

Thanks.

If you did not register your intent to swap licence then you need to take a test as no agreement has been made.

For tax issues go to an expert who will give you the correct advise.

We use Helen at Xerxes in the port and she is excellent.
