What's going on in Puerto de Mazarron

A few thoughts:

There’s a lively quiz on a Tuesday evening at CJs (not for from the Dia in town). They also do Bingo on a Monday afternoon iirc. For Brits in town CJs is a good place to connect with. 

There is a pétanque club that is social and popular (I understand) down on the seafront toward El Alamillo. I’ve never been myself but it’s pretty social. Brit/Spanish mix. 

I’m not in PdM in January but otherwise would take you up on a coffee.

I don’t know how well you know the town. But the other gathering point in the town proper is Niko’s, Cerveceria Mar. Next to the Market Tavern/opposite Boca pizza. Usually busiest about noon time. Friendly bunch. Older crowd.

Thanks for that. I heard about CJs and went down there last night but they were closed. I will try Tuesday night though,  any idea what time?

I went for a bike ride this morning and accidentally  found the petanque club. Will definitely give that a go in the next day or two.

CJs is on the main street leading to the beach, not far from the Chinese Wok restaurant. Petanque is fun, as long as you don't take it too seriously and get upset over losing. Give me a shout after 25th and we'll meet for a coffee 🙂

I don't take games too seriously mainly because im useless at them!! Yes keep in touch and we can meet for coffee sometime. Sean

I can get a bit quiet in PdM in January esp immediately after Tres Reyes. But usually CJs is quite busy on a Friday evening. It’s usually quite busy on a Saturday afternoon too.

I think the quiz is on about 7:30 or 8.
