Nordic I think - have you looked at changing your tariff with Iberdrola - I changed to their night plan, month if Dec 42euro's. We used more electricity than previous months and have paid roughly the same as other months.

Thank's for the quick reply. How would changing to a night tariff make a difference against a normal tariff.Would you not be using more electric at night?

Spanish energy comparison website here

https://comparador.cnmc.gob.es/

Be very careful that you understand what you are doing when changing to the likes of Nordic Energy.

No it is similar to UK version of Economy 7 or 10

Night Plan

If you keep unusual hours, the Night Plan is for you. You pay less for your electricity from 23:00 to 13:00 in summer and from 22:00 to 12:00 in winter.

But don't forget the the hours in between are charged at a higher rate.

So unless you can use a lot of your electric at the cheap rate you could be worse off.

I also believe that the daily  standing charge is more.

So if you just use the house as a holiday home the figures might not work for you.

December 20 bill 41.91 euro's on night plan used 91kwh - on night plan since Oct 20.

August 20 bill 40.91 euro's used 40kwh - normal tariff. The services and other items on both bills 0.026557 euro's a day. If you're interested we heat our villa on a pellet burner for 4 to 5hrs a day which is on the higher rate (day time usage was 50kwh for month of dec and night time was 41kwh) - I think the bill is quite reasonable and we are sensible with what we use and when. Iberdrola do other tariff's that could suit someone's lifestyle.
