Can anyone tell me when you are allowed to have a fire in puerto Lumbreras?

Also does anyone know of any English speaking doctors in the area

Hi,

we moved to outskirts of Purias recently, and have been having fire’s for about a week now. We asked the neighbours for advice to avoid police banging on the door.

We did small fire, check the weather as if wind is more than 5mph then they said not to do fire.

Have hose pipe ON. And wet area near where embers are landing.

Do early in the morning or dusk. They also said never leave the fire until it is out. So I put ours out with the hose pipe.

Rafael Mendes hospital in Lorca does have some English speaking doctors. The food is horrible, apart from the soup. Lol. And there sense of privacy is non excitant.
but the care is very good and prompt.

2 of the dentists I’ve been to in Lorca don’t. Goggle translate is fine.
dentist PY San Cristóbal I like.  But parking a pain in the arse, The private dentist near police foreigners office Lorca not so good called dental Sutullena and really expensive.

Not been to private medical doctor yet.

Wife has been to local medical centre and they don’t speak English. Really quick to get an appGoogle translate works fine.

If you have a copy of your medical records this will help, also get it translated to make it easier.
take repeat prescription you get from UK that helps or old boxes of pills. most pills you do t need a prescription for in Spain.

We believed that you needed a licence to have a fire from May to September inclusive, but earlier this year, we were told that a licence was required all year round.

A neighbour applied, got a licence and the police actually turned up to check that he was compliant - away from property and other flammable items, vegetation, etc. and that he had a hosepipe standing by.

I've just completed a quick search online and this is the relevant information I found...

With regards to a doctor - assuming you've moved here recently, do you have private healthcare as part of your NLV? If so, they should be able to advise you of an English-speaking doctor in your area who they deal with.

I am with Sanitas and use a very nice English-speaking doctor at Centro Medico Artromur, Calle Floridablanca, 3, Lorca.

Hope this helps!

We went to the local police a few days ago and was told that having fires are now illegal all year round, and will have a heavy fine if found with one
