Car tyres - good price for mid range tyres, what car or tyre companies recommended please?

You could try Carrefour in Dos Mares.

They have a range of tyre brands.

I have never bought there .... but I think you pay at Carrefour then go to a local tyre fitter for the fitting.

You can never have tyres that are too good - in an emergency situation with rapid turning and heavy braking your family saloon will be putting the same stresses on the tyres as on a race track - and the contact patch is about the size of the palm of your hand, not much to keep you and your family out of trouble.

As for type of tyres, Firestone have always been renowned for soft compound so prop not last compared to others 

Michelin tyres are one of the hardest compound tyres and last for years.

It either two sets of cheap tyres or one set of premium tyres  minus damaged tyres along the way  of course.

Your tyres are the only four points you car touches the road, so don’t skimp on safety.

Check out a few websites for ratings, ie wear rating etc, think it’s A to E same as Appliances

Hi just seen a tear in my 2 year old Pirelli front offside tyre . Still plenty of tread left but need a couple of front tyres now. !
