Hello - I have an account with Caixabank (previously Bankia) who have a branch in San Cayetano.  There are branches all over Spain. My actual branch is in Torrevieja.  Hope this helps.

I use cajamar and I find them really good .  I did speak to caixabank at a place in the sun event and found them so unprofessional.  Cajamar do a wefferent account where there are no fees.  Hope this helps 

Hi there we are also with Caixa formally Bankia but this is our problem we can never get hold of anyone to talk to. Very stressful as we are here in England. Hence we were thinking about changing banks. Do you have any problems with them ? Perhaps you would be kind enough  to let us know the phone number you use and maybe their email. Use the search facility at the top of this page & search for Free Banking or Cajamar Wefferent account.

You will have to go into a branch to open a Cajamar Wefferent account if you are a non resident.

Open a Wise.com euro account for all your Spanish direct debits & just use the Wefferent account to withdraw cash with no charge.

We are non residents. Went into Cajamar in Sucina to see Andreea as recommended by our lawyer. She opened an Wefferent account for us and all our direct debits go through it. We mainly use the online banking but if there is a problem we email her in English and she responds promptly. We also have a Wise account which we use to transfer money across to our Wefferent account and to pay other expenses like insurance, communal fees etc. if we withdraw cash from our Cajamar in the village we seem to get charged 2.50 euros whatever the amount is but other than that we have no charges on our Wefferent account.

As far as I know you should not be charged for withdrawing cash from your Wefferent in a Cajamar ATM.

Are you using the ATM or going into the bank & getting the cash at the counter ??

The wefferent account has no charges for withdrawing cash from any cajamar atm wherever in Spain you are.

I personally would query this with your online advisor not in a branch, I believe charges are imposed for in branch transactions.

I have had my account for many years and never paid any charges whatsoever 🙂
