Hi all,

Thank you for allowing me to join your forum. Lots of information on here and I guess it will take us a good while to get through it all.

I am ex Royal Navy (39 yrs) my wife is an ex Civil Servant (not tax :) ). We are considering moving to the region next year, when the Brexit cloud clears a little.

Just a few things I would like to ask.

One. Has anybody any info on UK pension payments to expats through the Spanish banking system ? I heard there could be a problem.

Two. I am a golfer and have researched quite a few courses, the membership fees look expensive, anybody any ideas where there are reasonable cheaper options.

thanks

Graham

At the moment there is no problem having UK state pension paid into a Spanish bank and cant see any reason why this would change...there is talk of new residents post Brexit not getting the annual increase but this is still up for debate. Your navy and wifes gov pension will remain taxed at sourced and you can have them paid into uK or Spanish Bank...(I chose to leave mine in UK bank because of fluctuating exchange rate)

Regarding the golf...look at San Javier Golf Society (SJGS.eu) only about 25€ to join and greatly reduced playing fees at their games ..their main playing course is La Serena where there is a very good discount on membership fees but they play at all the local courses.
