...ed and you can have them paid into uK or Spanish Bank...(I chose to leave mine in UK bank because of fluctuating exchange rate)

Regarding the golf...look at San Javier Golf Society (SJGS.eu) only about 25€ to join and greatly reduced playing fees at their games ..their main playing course is La Serena where there is a very good discount on membership fees but they play at all the local courses.
