Hi

Does anyone know if you can rent a garage or lock up please?

I notice when l tried looking that in Spain a garage means a parking space but we need an actual garage or even secure shed just to store things not to park a car in.

Any help appreciated.

Like so many times a word in Spanish can cover a couple of things. El garage and la cochera both mean somewhere for a car, as does a placa. You have to study the adverts (try milanuncios.com) to see. Also be aware that even recently built ones seem to be Fiat 500 sized, or expect you to climb out of the sunroof as the doors will not open. I looked for one when we moved here with a new Toyota Auris, and it would not fit comfortably in any in Los Narejos!
