Hi

It depends what you are looking for?. If you could give more Information it would be easier to advise. It's a pretty quiet village but  friendly  and has the basic amenities. If you like a slow and relaxed pace of life then it's ideal. If you want a beach and restaurants/ nightlife on your doorstep then it's not the right place. Everywhere is at least a 15min drive. You need a car to live here as buses are non existent and taxis can be expensive.

The population is mixed nationalities with the majority being of retirement age plus.

The pool is open weekends at the minute, from 11 until 6. Costs 2e for an adult. Should be open every day all summer, when the kids break up from school around the end of June, until September when they go back. Summer pool times haven't been confirmed yet, but last year it did close in the afternoon for lunch!.

Hi, it's difficult getting the right balance. Not too quiet (dead) but have been told LA Is really noisy. (Barking dogs ect) . We went to LA beach last year and loved it. We are happy to drive so it's not too much of a problem. Not long got back from la zenia which was lovely, but get more for your money more inland. any suggestions much appricated

Thanks lisa

It's a  good place to base yourself if you like to get out and about and explore. But in winter it is pretty dead. Lively in summer with fiestas and more tourists. There are dogs, lots of them, but no problem with barking like in L.A. To be fair most places quiten down in the winter months, including L.A.  Roda might be an option for you or San Pedro del Pinatar is worth a look.
