Does anyone know what is happening to the swimming pool in San Cayetano. Is it going to reopen?

We brought our property with a view to using this pool but it hasn’t been open since we brought it.. does anyone know anywhere else close by that we can use please?

We were just thinking that this morning. We drove by expecting it to be open but it looked like they were still getting it ready. I’m wondering if it will be open on 1st July until 31st August perhaps. There used to be some sort of website/Facebook page with prices on but not sure if that still exists or is up to date.

It is due to open on the 1st of July and is usually open until end of August. It used to be a community pool but was handed over to the local council a few years ago so it is now a municipal pool. Sadly this means it is no longer a year round pool and is only open 2 months of the year. The Ayuntamiento have advertised swimming lessons on their Facebook page from 10am until 1pm from 1st July so a 'free swim' session won't be available until after then during the week.

At the weekend it will probably open in the morning, close for lunch/ siesta then open again in the afternoon,  if previous years are anything to go by. If you keep an eye on the Ayuntamiento de torre pacheco Facebook page they will post updates or there will be a sign on the gate when its open with times and prices. Its about 2 ir 3 euros for a swim.

Just an update the pool opens this week but you have to book online via the council website and pay online. You then get a QR code for your slot. It is limited capacity but as there aren't many tourists I don't think it will fill up. The swimming lessons are only in July so August there should be more availability. Its €2 for over 16's. You can buy 30 swims for €25.

Its 4pm to 8pm weekdays and 12 -7pm weekends according to their booking system.

Not yet, probably won't get any details until mid June when the schools break up for summer. They generally advertise swimming classes around then and then the pool should open from July. Keep an eye on Torre pacheco Council facebook page.

Apparently this outdoor pool in Los Alcazares was renovated and opened around September last year. It’s supposed to open around the second week of June. I haven’t been myself but it might be worth a try. I think some of the hotels in Los Alcazares also let you use their pool if you eat there. The one in San Cayetano seems to open in July and August only now.
