Hi everyone. I have been looking for ways of getting me and my lovely dog to the area, so as I can rent for a time to see if the permanent move to Spain will be the dream I want it to be. But as he is a Lhasa Apso he is on the list of breeds not suitable for flying and to be honest I wouldn't want to put him through it. Ferry to bilbao is the next I checked which I can do as he can travel in my cabin but pricey. Also getting from Bilbao by train seems a long and horrific journey. Yes you have guessed it I do not drive. I can't travel across via France by train as he would be too large for the French train company's maximum travel crate size. How do all you dog lovers manage to get your dogs to spain. I am getting so disheartened, can anyone suggest anything please?

Thanks Lo

Hi Nick,

I am based at Wakefield,  but am sure I could beg a lift to further down the country when the time comes :-)

Cheers Lo

Hi Chrissy,

Thanks for info I'm grateful. I actually stopped looking for rentals as I wasn't going anywhere without my dog bless him. But now I can start getting my ducks in a row if its possible. May I private message you with something unrelated to this post please?

Thanks again

Lo

Hi Nick,

Thanks for promt reply. Im afraid I am not ready yet as I just couldn't work out taking my dog so I had stopped looking for rentals.Which I was going to try for three to four months.  I am thinking autumn this year but I dont know if you make regular trips to UK or not, so I could be wasting your time, which I would hate to do. Just wondering would it be by car or van as the first time it would just be two suitcases, me and my dog.

Thanks for replying

Lo

By car I would imagine but either way it would be fine if you are good. A have vans but travel often with an estate car but whatever suits x

Thanks Nick now I can start actually planning. Sorry to be so vague as yet. Can you pm me with approximate price, of course I know it will vary by autumn. Whether you go Euro tunnel (hopefully) or ferry and whether you break the journey normally?

Thanks

Lo
