Hi, we have seats booked on the 'Bam Bus' that runs from Alicante Airport to Cartagena however we have some questions about the pick up and drop off points.

Where is the bus stop for the pick up for this bus at the airport?

We had a look around and found the bus stop for the globalia service from outside departures to Cartagena. I'm aware that this company does not run anymore but wondered if this is now the stop for the Bam Bus.

We also need to know where the drop off and pick up points are in San Javier?

Really hope someone out there can help us!

Clare & Ian

Ask at information desk inside in building.  Before pandemic  all buses to cartagena went from that bus stop with big globalia timetable at top of building.. but during height of pandemic they switched to ground floor  bus stop 21.  I heard recently  they "might" have switched back  but best check at information desk within airport.  For me I caught it from ground floor bus stop 21  , but when it dropped me back to airport a week later, I was dropped off at the upper floor  and that was drop off only.   Good luck n let us know

Many thanks for getting back to me.

I also put a request on Facebook and had a reply from someone also saying to wait at bust stop 21 on the ground floor.

I will add a post once we have tried it out next week.

Many thanks.

Interested to hear how this journey went. We didnt realise there was an Alicante Cartagena bus! This would be really useful. Could you advise how long it took and price etc once you've done it thanks!

Well I was in Alicante airport today.. the Cartagena bus stop downstairs has been removed  and there are signs for other bus companies saying  bus stops moved upstairs.  So I would say the Globalia bus stop upstairs is the one.   It also has a small Bambus timetable stuck up inside it..

I did try an enquire at the information desk inside and the lady was truly unhelpful and dreadful. She was directing me to get an Alsa bus to Murcia city and said there was no direct Cartagena service  and had never heard of Bambus    so much for being there for information

I saw the hourly torrevieja bus go from same stop n c6 is also moved up too.

The bus takes 2 hours n a bit, it's a nice ride down popping into the little towns on the way. It cost me 8e to Ribera a few weeks ago  and ironically 7e back. But be sure to ask for AEROPORTO  coming back otherwise they bypass airport if no put Ddowns on way into alicante

Hi all. Many thanks to all those people who responded to my request about the Bam Bus from Alicante airport to San Javier (and then onto Cartagena).

We have just done the bus journey today so I wanted to let you know how it went.

The bus does now drop off and pick up from the bus stop outside departures.  It is the old globalia bust stop. There is a small timetable that has been put up inside the bus stop.

Great bus (with a toilet if required). Took 2 hours for us to get to San Javier and cost €8.50 each. Goes through all the town's but great value so we didn't mind and enjoyed the drive.

The timetable is on their website

https://www.busbam.com/horarios/cartagena-alicante/

I've also attached some photos of the bus stop and the timetable.

We have to now do the reverse in a week and just need to work out where the pick up points are in San Javier.  If anyone knows then please get back to me.
