Live in Sucina.  Little choice in local supermarkets.  Am I allowed to drive to Mercadona in San Javier?

According to all l have read it has to be nearest to you, and only one person in the car, no passengers. Fines are being handed out here in Camposol/Mazarron. If dietary needs come into the equation there might be a case to be made but wouldn't know where to find out, sorry.

The closest one !!I i live in a village without a major supermarket only a small spar shop.
And we cannot travel 5km to a larger choice of larger supermarkets.

We can only go to the small (corner shop)

In our village.

Good luck explaining to the over worked and stressed guardia in Spanish that you prefer to shop somewhere else ...

Bring your check book for the €600 fine

Hi.

I've been down to supermarket, and butcher in recent week, as we only have a Spar here as I'm sure you know, they have a fair amount but very little in the way of meat.

So are you saying that on campasol they could or will, fine me just for going to get a selection of meat at the butcher, then going straight back to CDA.

G.

I have not read in any official bulletin any rules on distance limitations, simply that you must not make non-essential journeys. As ever the truth is that the chances of being stopped are random, and if you are then any action taken will depend on the mood of the police person - and of course the courtesy you show them.

In theory yes but police cannot be everywhere all the time to enforce. However fines can and have been handed out. If stopped on a trip down here that would make for a very expensive steak. Is a better choice really that important, to say nothing of the risk of bringing/taking the virus with you.

I know that Reeves Butcher's were offering a delivery service prior to the lockdown. It might be worth contacting them if they deliver to your area still if you require meat, eggs etc. It's gonna get a lot more difficult in the UK - it doesn't help in the UK that the majority are stock piling and ignoring the plight of the elderly and the vulnerable - that's what you get in a selfish society we live in!!!

What's their details.

Might be useful, also where are they located.
