Hi All, we are travelling shortly from Portsmouth to Bilbao and onwards to LA, does anyone have any recommendations / likely cost and rules around car breakdown cover and Car Ins (currently with Direct Line) for an 8 week break?

I have a uk car here and used Abbeygate insurance, they are an English company based in Costa del sol.
they were cheap and easy to deal with.
