Can anyone tell me if Corvera Airport is open from July 1 st 2020 ?    I see Easyjet have flights available to there from the UK

I live in Spain but currently in the UK but after 2 flight cancellations dont want to book up until i get some sense with Corvera Airport ???

Also there were flights to Alicante ?   Does anyone know if you can hire a car from Alicante Airport but then drop it off at Corvera Airport like you do in the UK ???

Thank you very much in advance for any information on the above subjects so I can go ahead and get back to my property !

Hi, yes it’s looking like there are flights.

But I suppose all that depends on the current situation changing.

Personally I would book with Jet2 then at least if it is cancelled again, you will get your money back quite promptly.

I had three flights booked to Spain on different dates and all got cancelled, only Jet2 have returned my monies in full as yet.

Yes you can take a car back to another airport but pay a surcharge of around 40 euros but don’t quote me on that price.

Centauro.com is the best company to deal with, don’t let the off airport dearie put you offf.

Otherwise firefly via doyouspain.com website.

Stay away from Goldcar.

Also Hertz is going into administration so I wouldn’t book with them

Sorry but that’s the only advice I can help you with..

Hope you get home safe and prompt, also masks will be of mandatory.

Hi I am not sure about flights but I presume you are a legal resident in Spain, if not at the moment the borders are closed to non residents and they are saying it dose not matter if you own a house here or not.

Hopefully these rules will have changed by July and everyone will be able to enjoy their properties.

Hope all goes well for you and you can get your flights

Well written eduardo3332, all the people bleating they want to get home to ?Spain but non say they are not a Spanish resident but British and, as far as the authorities know, they are at home. If a Spanish resident, with appropriate card, you can come home to Spain, no problem.

I would be echo suggestions to use Jet2. We are in the UK and have had multiple flights cancelled with Jet2, Ryanair and Easyjet.

Last week we were quite excited to see Ryanair & Easyjet announcing flights recommencing from 1st July, but then flights with Easyjet that we had already booked pre-Lockdown for 10th July were cancelled.

For Ryanair & Easyjey, it feels like they want you to book to get the money and then if they cancel the flight subsequently you'll be offered a voucher or a long wait for a refund...

Not strictly true. I have now had 3 flights cancelled by EasyJet and although they did try to persuade me to change the dates or take a voucher, they did refund me on the day I called them each time.

Yes you can hire a car at one airport and drop it off at another but it is expensive. The hire company says they have to provide staff to drive the car to the airport and then get the person back to base.
