Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction online to find out what food items that can legally be brought back to Spain after a holiday to Morocco? I am assuming foodstuffs like meats etc are not allowed but am looking at items like spices/herbs, tinned olives and other Moroccan specialties in cans or packets etc. may be allowed ??  I have contacted the Spanish customs in Algeciras but they were not forthcoming with what is or is not allowed. Just want to make sure all personal food items purchased in Morocco will not cause customs delays and hassle when returning back home here. Thanks

Hi SunnySpain many thanks for your reply.

While it is mainly spices we were looking at bringing back I see that meat etc (which we were not looking at bringing them in) is not allowed into Spain. Also if it helps we previously used Globelink but they do not include in their insurance cover a number of existing health issues like cancer etc but now we use Staysure who have EU residents section which does allow declared pre-existing conditions so for readers I would recommend giving them an opportunity.

Many thanks. Going in own car (got written confirmation from Liberty Seguros fully comprehensive & breakdown 🙈😂 green card, which now is white 😂) from Algeciras to Tangier Med then driving around for a month and back same way.
